I was once a hyperactive, overthinking, multi-tasker, attaching myself to anything that offered intensity or a buzz. An addict!
At work, I’d be managing several high-end design projects at the same time, always seeking perfection.
When home, I’d be sourcing, selecting, buying and selling online, while only half listening, or hardly engaged in conversation with my family - my mind constantly pre-occupied with a dozen different things at the same time.
Consequently, I suffered burn-out.
Some months later, I discovered mindfulness. That was 12 years ago.
The door was opened, and my Mindful journey began.
I fell in love with the
language of mindfulness
I fell in love with the language of mindfulness. I found it to be uplifting, encouraging and deeply engaging, with much of it hinged on good things such as humility, patience, curiosity, healthy acceptance, benevolence and gratitude; all of which, over time, have helped me develop a sense of inner peace and purpose.
To me, coaching mindfulness is about helping people re-discover the beauty of their human-beingness, by becoming constanlty aware of life as it unfolds moment by moment.
I love watching the light come back on in someone’s eyes when they have that ‘moment’. When the spark returns.
It’s a trip.
There are some obvious parallels with my previous professional activity as an interior designer, like demolishing the old and making everything new. Bringing harmony, colour, and balance while Improving functionality. Basically, making everything better!
"Everyone has the capacity to discover and experience peace through mindful living"
